A tracking investigation carried out by aviation monitor and counterterrorism analyst Brant Philip has revealed that a modified US-owned Gulfstream V aircraft conducted surveillance patrols over Borno State on Saturday.
“The United States has resumed ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) operations today over ISWAP in the Sambisa Forest, just one day after strikes were carried out in Sokoto,” Philip wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
The aircraft is linked to Tenax Aerospace, a US-based company that provides specialized intelligence and surveillance aviation services, often operating in coordination with the United States military.
According to the findings, the aircraft typically operates from a US logistics base in Ghana, from where it undertakes reconnaissance missions across parts of West Africa.
