Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to a ceasefire aimed at ending weeks of renewed fighting along their shared border.
The agreement, signed by the defence ministers of both countries, took effect immediately.
Under the terms of the deal, both sides will reinforce their border positions while refraining from any hostile actions.
Civilians displaced by the fighting will be allowed to return to their homes in affected border communities.
The agreement also provides for the repatriation of 18 Cambodian soldiers if the ceasefire holds for 72 hours.
The recent clashes have resulted in several deaths and displaced nearly one million people.
