Former Kano State Governor and national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Sunday received a solidarity visit from residents of Nasarawa Local Government Area at his residence in Kano.
The delegation visited to express their continued support amid ongoing political developments affecting the party and the state.
Reacting to the visit in a statement shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Kwankwaso thanked the residents for what he described as their courage, loyalty and unwavering commitment despite recent challenges.
“I reaffirmed my profound appreciation for their unwavering courage and determination. Despite the recent trials that have tested the faith and fortitude of many, they have chosen to stand firmly with us — not for personal gain, but for the collective progress and well-being of our people,” he said.
Kwankwaso, a central figure in Kano politics, noted that the visitors’ support reflected their belief in the Kwankwasiyya movement, a political ideology closely associated with grassroots mobilisation and social empowerment across northern Nigeria.
He assured his supporters that the movement remained strong and focused, stressing that their shared resolve would ultimately prevail.
“Together, we remain resolute in upholding and advancing the timeless ideals of Kwankwasiyya. The journey continues, and victory is assured by the grace of God and the will of the people,” he added.
