The Federal Government has disclosed that it has sought the assistance of Turkey in addressing the security challenges currently confronting Nigeria.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made this known on Friday while receiving a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his residence in Lagos.
According to a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu said the move was part of broader efforts by his administration to strengthen international cooperation in tackling insecurity across the country.
He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability, stressing that Nigeria remains open to partnerships that will enhance national security and protect lives and property.
The President also commended CAN for its role in promoting unity and peaceful coexistence, urging religious leaders to continue supporting efforts aimed at fostering harmony and national development.
