The wife of the Plateau State Governor, Mrs Helen Mutfwang, on Thursday visited selected hospitals in Jos to celebrate babies born on New Year’s Day, presenting gifts to the newborns and their families.
Mrs Mutfwang toured four public hospitals, accompanied by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and other government officials. She said the visit was aimed at welcoming the New Year babies and offering support to their parents.
According to her, the birth of a child brings immense joy and hope, and such moments deserve celebration and encouragement.
“The birth of a child is one of life’s greatest blessings. It represents new beginnings and limitless potential,” she said, urging communities to embrace and celebrate every new life.
The governor’s wife congratulated the mothers and encouraged expectant women to remain strong and adhere to medical advice as they prepare for delivery.
