President praises decades of service, reform-driven leadership
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated his Special Adviser on Policy Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), Hadiza Bala-Usman, on her 50th birthday, marked on January 2, 2026.
In a statement released on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Bala-Usman as “a dedicated patriot whose sterling public career reflects service, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to national development.”
Tinubu commended her nearly three decades in public service, noting her impactful contributions across several government institutions and leadership roles.
Reflecting on her early career at the Bureau of Public Enterprises, the President said Bala-Usman displayed “exceptional clarity of vision and a firm grasp of the structural reforms required to drive sustainable economic growth.”
He identified her leadership at the Abuja Enterprise Agency and the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) as defining milestones, crediting her with breaking barriers, raising professional standards, and strengthening accountability in public administration.
The President also acknowledged her political contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly in party organisation and institutional development.
“In her current role as Special Adviser and Head of the CRDCU, Hadiza Bala-Usman continues to distinguish herself as an astute public administrator through discipline, clear thinking, and a strong focus on results,” Tinubu said.
According to him, her work has played a key role in strengthening the governance framework and advancing the implementation of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
President Tinubu prayed for continued strength, wisdom, good health, and grace for Bala-Usman, expressing hope that she would “remain an inspiration to women, young people, and emerging leaders across the country.”
