The U.S. Department of Justice has released the first batch of documents containing information linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
The documents include photographs, videos, and investigative findings, and fuller details are expected once Congress approves legislation compelling the release of the complete archive.
However, both Democratic and Republican lawmakers have accused the Justice Department of violating legal requirements after it said it could not release all the documents within the stipulated timeframe.
The files contain the names and images of well-known figures, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and musicians such as Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson.
Several of the released images feature former President Bill Clinton.
One photograph shows him swimming in a pool, while another depicts him lying on his back with his hands behind his head in what appears to be a hot tub.
Multiple photos of Clinton with Epstein were taken in the 1990s and the early 2000s, before the billionaire’s activities became publicly known. Survivors of Epstein’s abuse have not accused Clinton of wrongdoing, and he has denied any involvement in criminal acts.
